Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (TUPE)

Consortium Trust recognises existing terms and conditions of both Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils and where possible, will enhance employees remuneration to fairly reflect the responsibility of their job roles.  As we are a cross county Trust, there will be some merging of conditions.

Measures

Consortium Trust envisages taking the following measures:

  • Consortium Trust will change the pay date for each calendar month to the 19th day of the month for all employees. (Suffolk measure)
  • Consortium Trust will recognise the GMB union for support staff, in addition to UNISON. (Suffolk measure)
  • Consortium Trust will offer occupational health provision through Asclepius.
  • Consortium Trust provides an enhanced Employee Assistant programme (EAP) with benefits reviewed and updated annually.  
  • Staff will be subject to Consortium Trust pay scales at the prevailing Trust rate.
  • Consortium Trust’s pay award date will be 1st September for all categories of staff.
  • Consortium Trust applies a mobility clause to all staff contracts so that employees have the opportunity, with consultation, to work across other schools and settings within the Trust.
  • Consortium Trust automatically applies a paid training allowance (confirmed annually) to all contracts, currently: 39-week contract for all staff, to include 5 PD days that are a requirement to attend including part time colleagues, and a 30 minutes per week payment for support staff to attend afterschool CPD and/or meetings, as agreed locally.
